when people ask me what kind of music i make, or even what kinds of songs or artists i'm influenced by, its always been hard for me to put a label on it... so maybe it'll make more sense by telling you my story :

i fell in love with making music when i was 12, after the first time i accidentally opened up garage band on my mom's work computer and realized i could record layers of my own audio and combine them to create beats. growing up in the bay area, i was heavily influenced by the sounds of hip hop & rnb, and i developed an affinity for the darker, more melancholic types of sound design. then in college, i fell in love with the melodies of indie rock and leaned more into acoustic and live music production. after i graduated, i became entranced by the rhythms of house music and the soundscapes of EDM, and discovered the world of dj-ing. my sound is not only a combination of all these musical influences, but has been shaped by the perspectives i've gained from learning different instruments - from drums to guitar to piano to the dj controller - each has allowed me to view the world of music in a new way. 

most importantly, my music has been influenced by the people in my life - my friends and my family, the ones i've loved and the ones i've lost, and those who there through the good times and especially the bad - for without the experiences & memories that i've shared alongside you, my music would have no meaning.
